2. Key terms
2.1 Controller: An entity (CareService.ca) that determines the purposes and means of processing Personal Data.
2.2 Data Subject: Any person whose personal data is collected, held, or processed.
2.3 Personal Data: This includes all information specified in the Profile section, as well as any data collected during registration and payment processes.

2.6 User: Any individual who has created a Profile and utilizes the Service. This includes caregivers (employees), clients (employers), their family members, parents, and childminders/babysitters or nannies who are either receiving or providing services.
2.7 User Content: Any content and information posted, uploaded, published, linked to, transmitted, recorded, displayed, or otherwise made available on the Platform and/or transmitted by a User to other Users. This includes text messages, chats, videos, photographs, any digital material, and other forms of communication, whether publicly or privately transmitted.

4. What information is collected and processed by CareService.ca
4.1 Profile
To connect with other users, you need to create a personal profile. During this process, you’ll be asked to provide some information about yourself. While not all details are mandatory, the following information is required:

Special Requirements
You can update your profile information at any time. Additionally, you have the option to enhance your profile by adding a photo or a link to your website. By default, your profile is public, meaning anyone can view it.
4.2 Content
CareService.ca stores and processes all content you make available on the platform. If you publish content, such as your profile, other users can interact with or respond to it.
Upon deleting your profile, CareService.ca will immediately make it inaccessible. Your data will be stored for a maximum of two years post-deletion.
4.3 Automatically generated information
To ensure the effective operation and security of CareService.ca, as well as to provide a better user experience, we automatically collect certain information. This includes your IP address (which identifies your computer on the Internet), the type of browser you use, your computer system, and the pages you visit on our website. This data helps us ensure that pages are displayed correctly and maintain the security of our service.
